A Special Weather Warning has been issued for North Illinois and South Wisconsin.

At 2:49pm CDT, a very organized bow-echo storm was moving east across North Illinois and South Wisconsin.

People in these areas should prepare for intense storms, tornadoes, very very high winds, large hail.

This warning will expire at 7:00pm CDT.

This advisory is issued for popcorn storms, some strong.

A SIGNIFICANT WEATHER WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
-NORTH ILLINOIS
-SOUTH WISCONSIN

THESE AREAS ARE CURRENTLY IN A MODERATE RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER. VERY STRONG INSTABILITY IN THE ATMOSPHERE WILL CREATE EXTREMELY VOLATILE CONDITIONS FOR SEVERE WEATHER. SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE OCCURING IN THESE AREAS, WITH WINDS OVER 70 MPH LIKELY. BRIEF TORNADOES CAN OCCUR IN THESE AREAS ALONG THE LEADING AREA OF THIS DANGEROUS SQUALL LINE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS AREA LATER THIS AFTERNOON.

Very strong and severe storms were occuring in these areas and will move east rapidly over time.

This will expire at 2:00pm CDT.

A Special Weather Watch has been issued for the following areas:
-Illinois

-Northeast Kansas

At 9:02am CDT, strong and severe storms were forecast to occur today and/or tonight.

This watch will expire at 11:59pm CDT.

A MODERATE RISK of SEVERE STORMS has been outlined in the following areas:
-North Missouri
-South Iowa
-North Central Illinois
-West Central Illinois

A Special Weather Warning has been issued for West Iowa.

At 8:41am CDT, strong storms were becoming a small squall line moving East, ever so slightly to the north.

People in this area are advised to prepare for strong storms.

This warning will likely expand to all of Iowa at 9:00am CDT.

The overall warning will expire:
-West Iowa: 9:00am CDT
-Rest of Iowa: 11:00am CDT.
