BIG Updates coming to the Radar System we use

The specialized radar system we use is upgrading to the dual-polarization era of radar technology. This dual polarization will let us be able to see a variety of new things.

-Differences between dry snow, wet snow
-New severe weather forecasting techniques

And a lot more.
All of the upgrades to the nation's radars will be completed in 2013, but we already have some radars in that new dual polarization stage.
