18z NAM Introduces 10 inches of Snow to Wisconsin

The 18z NAM has introduced the prospect of up to 10 inches of snow to the Wisconsin/Minnesota border. This will come as the low pressure system currently causing the tornadoes in the South will move northward and bring significant rain to areas south of this snowfall. This will be a pretty interesting situation, as this could end up as 10 inches of snow or 2 inches of rain. It all depends on how far north the rain snow line moves.

Tornadic Thunderstorms Erupting over Oklahoma- Check Facebook For Updates

Hook storm is likely a tornado
Tornadic thunderstorms are rapidly developing across the Oklahoma/Texas region, and these thunderstorms are very intense at this time. If you live around the cities shown above, take cover now. This is very dangerous.

Severe Weather Threat Starts Off Workweek

Overall Threat

Tornado Threat
There is a risk of severe weather today and tomorrow, despite being in early November. Did you know that this period in early November is considered a 'second tornado season', when tornadoes strike a bit more often than usual? Well, this system appears to fall into that category, with a 10% chance for a tornado on the Texas/Oklahoma border. That 10% is considered fairly high, so I would expect a report of a funnel cloud. That chance is dimmed, however, by the fact of how that 10% area is so small.
A slight risk of severe weather has set up across much of Texas and Oklahoma, something that may give the exceptionally dry state of Texas some much needed rain.

Couple Wet Days to Lay Down 3+ Inches of Rain Across Central US

HPC 12z rainfall estimates through next 5 days

3z SREF rainfall estimates through next 87 hours
The SREF model and HPC agency are both indicating the Midwest and Plains will be going through a very wet start to the work week. This comes as a low pressure system will lift north from Oklahoma and into the Illinois region.
We anticipate this, if it were to verify (come true), that there would be flooding issues in the areas most affected.
