I have found a body of below normal water temperatures near Japan, which happens to fall within the PDO monitoring area.
Considering the PDO appears to be quite messy, a positive PDO spike may be happening.
A positive PDO does appear to enhance potential for snowfall in the winter, and I will do more research on it later on.

Numerous Showers and Storms in the Caribbean May Pose Threat
Strong showers and storms could very well provoke a tropical system to affect the Caribbean and potentially the Gulf of Mexico. This will definitely have to be monitored, as these storms are very active.

Tornado Watch #404
Tornado watch #404 has been issued for northeast South Dakota, southeast North Dakota, and western Minnesota.
The watch is valid until 10:00 PM CDT.
There is a high risk of tornadoes in this watch box, as high wind speeds in the atmosphere. Supercells are expected to form in due time, and they are expected to potentially become tornadic.

Moderate Risk for Northern Plains Today
The northern plains, including Minnesota, is under a moderate risk for today.
The jet stream is expected to increase deep shearing, and adding to high instability to create the scenario of potential tornadoes. The low itself will also be deepening, which in turn should tighten the surface wind field and increase surface conductivity for tornadic thunderstorms.
The images are the overall risk, hail risk, and tornado risk.
Watch for updates on the Facebook page today.

Mesoscale Discussion #1186
Mesoscale discussion #1186 has been issued for northwestern Missouri and extreme eastern Kansas.
At 12:17 PM CDT, a disturbance was progressing eastward into 2000+ j/kg of instability. This disturbance should easily be able to pop some updrafts and develop them into potentially severe thunderstorms. There is also an old outflow boundary from this morning likely in eastern Missouri and southwest Illinois at this point in time, and that boundary may be able to produce some rogue storms.
