Tornado Threat |
There is a risk of severe weather today and tomorrow, despite being in early November. Did you know that this period in early November is considered a 'second tornado season', when tornadoes strike a bit more often than usual? Well, this system appears to fall into that category, with a 10% chance for a tornado on the Texas/Oklahoma border. That 10% is considered fairly high, so I would expect a report of a funnel cloud. That chance is dimmed, however, by the fact of how that 10% area is so small.
A slight risk of severe weather has set up across much of Texas and Oklahoma, something that may give the exceptionally dry state of Texas some much needed rain.
