**EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TORNADO OUTBREAK IN WORKS FOR SATURDAY**

A high risk has been issued for Day 2 (tomorrow) by the Storm Prediction Center. This has only happened 3 times before. Not even April 27, 2011 had a high risk on Day 2. That shows you just how bad things could get.

At this point in time, if you are in the high risk and have time, I would suggest you evacuate. This looks to be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, and it is extremely possible that a super tornado outbreak occurs.

DO NOT take this lightly. 'High Risk' is the highest possible category for severe weather. Get your shelter ready now. Gather food and water supplies. I am sincerely concerned for the high threat of loss of life and property tomorrow in the High Risk.

To any amateur storm chasers: Do not chase tomorrow. This is high above what most chasers can chase.

Significant Tornado Outbreak Potential Rising

Key
Yellow: Some thunderstorms possible.
Orange: Thunderstorms likely, some may be strong to severe.
Red: Severe thunderstorms likely.
Pink: Several intense severe thunderstorms likely- risk of tornadoes and large hail.
Blue: Threat to life and property. Tornado outbreak likely.

I remain very worried about the situation unfolding for Saturday. As you may know, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a moderate risk for severe weather for Saturday. That is 2 days away. The last time the SPC issued a moderate risk for 2 days away was on April 27, 2011. That day ended with several deadly tornadoes.

I am seeing massive shearing and pretty substantial instability combining to make for several tornadic supercells that will, over time, come together and make a squall line that will mainly affect Arkansas eastward, but that is not printed on the above graphic right now.

As we approach the timeframe, expect WRF model graphics to be posted a lot on the Facebook Page.
Stay safe everyone.

Discussion on Saturday Severe Weather Threat Release Time

The discussion will be coming out at 4:00 PM CDT.

Serious Threat to Life and Property on Saturday

Threat of severe weather on Saturday

Probability of severe weather on Saturday within 25 miles.
Okay everyone, I know I said that this would be a pretty serious event, but the scope has been multiplied overnight as the Storm Prediction Center has issued a moderate risk on Day 3. The last time this happened was on April 27, 2011, and we all know how that turned out.

There have been severe weather outbreaks, but this is an actual outbreak. I cannot stress enough how much you need to get ready if you live in the area in red. If this verifies, we will likely have a 'High Risk', which was also called on April 27, 2011.
There is a very serious threat to life and property in this situation. I am very worried for mass casualties as a result of tornadoes.

Here's the severe weather graphic I have printed up for Saturday.

Tornado outbreak possible.

Wake Up Weather for April 12, 2012

Temperatures in the morning will be pretty chilly in the eastern half of the country, with many folks experiencing temperatures in the 30s and 40s across the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes into the Eastern Seaboard. However, out in the Plains, as a warm front moves eastward, temperatures will stand out into the 40s and even 50s as the sun rises. The warmest areas will be in Texas and Florida, where your morning temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s. Once again, the West Coast will wake up on the chilly side, with 20s and 30s in the mountains into the 40s by the coast itself.

As for precipitation, things should be relatively quiet in the East half of the US, although some spotty showers may be present in the Northeast as you wake up. The bigger rains will be in the Plains, where some rumbles of thunder are possible in north Texas and possibly into South Dakota and Nebraska. Oklahoma and Kansas will be in the mess however, with lighter rain falling in those states in the morning. Mountain snows will be the big story out west, with heavier snows in California. Don't be fooled in the lower elevations, as the coastal shore will get in on rain showers. Montana will get pretty messy too.
