   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
   TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
   
          NORTHERN ILLINOIS
          NORTHWEST INDIANA
          CENTRAL AND EASTERN WISCONSIN
          LAKE MICHIGAN
   
   EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 205 PM UNTIL
   1000 PM CDT.
   
   TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
   GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
   AREAS.
   
   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES NORTHEAST OF WAUSAU
   WISCONSIN TO BLOOMINGTON ILLINOIS.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF

   REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR

   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS

   THE BOUNDARY LAYER SUPPORTS MLCAPE VALUES OF 1000-2000 J/KG.  18Z
   DVN/ILX SOUNDINGS SHOWED DEEP-LAYER SHEAR OF AROUND 40 KT AND
   EFFECTIVE SRH VALUES OF 150-200 M2/S2.  AS SUCH...THE POTENTIAL WILL
   EXIST FOR SUPERCELLS CAPABLE OF LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND
   TORNADOES.
