---

I know you all are upset that winter isn't turning out as expected, but don't shoot the messenger.
For your information, I am pulling my hair out waiting for winter to get going.
I am trying my best to show when the pattern will change- it's the best I can do.
I can do what some people are doing and give up right now, or say that winter will start tomorrow with 5 feet of snow.
But both are ridiculous. I am a moderate, and i'm just trying to convey my truest thoughts. If you're trying to blame someone, blame the atmosphere, because that's the thing that controls what I try to convey.

Nobody knows how winter will turn out.The best people can d is do what Andrew does and PREDICT.Now if your thinking:I have heard this before.Just wait and see what happens. If you don't get a lot of snow this year, you have a season of severe weather to be pumped up about.Maybe 2012-13 will have snow every day.Just wait and see.You could be right or wrong.Nobody can tell the future. All I can say is PATIENCE is the key to weather. You just have to wait and see in weather

Maybe it sounded like I was blaming you, but I wasn't. I was just doubting some of the things you were saying about pattern change. Let me remind me of one important thing. There is NO SNOWPACK in the northern U.S right now and because of that cold air is getting moderated and is not as cold as it would have been if there was snow in northern U.S. If you read some AFD's you would have known this, as most of them mention this. That means that we need all the factors for "pattern change" to come together, then we need to wait for some snow to fall north. Because of all this, there will be no pattern change to snow and cold for Ohio Valley until mid to even late February, and then it will be too late. I just don't agree with your estimation of when the pattern change will get here and I think you are trying to overhype the snow. You are setting yourself up for major dissapointment when the "bitter cold" and "major snowstorms" won't get here.

Hello Andrew.I never did blame you about the winter not starting.Like i mentioned in another post,i stated that your only the messenger.I myself like i said before, are doing the best you can do.Your the only one that answers mt questions.I have visited other sites, and you would be surprised the comments that i came across. They are tearing apart the people that are trying to predict the weather.I think it's TOTALLY rude and crude.

To all: I was never trying to incite that there was something wrong, just trying to send out a message to those that may be overly upset.
Here's what I'm going to do: I will be spending the night researching the elements of the atmosphere and stratosphere, and we will come out with a new theory on the pattern tomorrow.

people are just not very weather savy. i dont know very much but i do know u dont have any control of it. it does not take alot of brains to know that...or in some cases it might..lol, anyway i read its going to get colder but does not mean its going to snow. it takes alot of weather to come together that. keep up the good work!

In the Great Lakes it does because when winds pick up it will cause LAKE EFFECT SNOW.

The KEY word in lake effect snow is WIND DIRECTION,and also if the lake is frozen!! A frozen lake=no snow, while an open lake=snow.

Right but it isn't frozen because it cold.
