Supercell-Style Pictures from March 16, 2012

This was a strong storm cell just off the west side of Lake Michigan from this afternoon.

Nice pictures Andrew. I also took a few pics of the storm. They aren't as nice as yours, yours are a lot closer to the storm than my pics. Have a good weekend Andrew. LJ.

That is the same exact storm I saw off Lake Michigan.

This is not a supercell.

Very nice photos. It does have some similarities to a supercell.

No, it doesn't ERN WX. Unless you're just counting the fact that it's an isolated storm, this has no similarities whatsoever to a supercell.

Anonymous: I would like to concur. While this storm photographed did not have rotation and therefore was not a supercell, it does have a very strong resemblance to this supercell, including a large anvil top, a tight, cumulus-covered core, and clouds surrounding the base of the storm cloud.
