Cold Waters Near Japan May Be Sign of Positive PDO

I have found a body of below normal water temperatures near Japan, which happens to fall within the PDO monitoring area.
Considering the PDO appears to be quite messy, a positive PDO spike may be happening.
A positive PDO does appear to enhance potential for snowfall in the winter, and I will do more research on it later on.

Just a -NAO is ALL it takes for us to do well.

Hello ERN WX! You got that right. We also cannot forget the blocking high over Greenland. This also would aid in winter weather.

Greenland block+ -NAO= Snow, Snow, Snow!

Not just the Midwest, sorry, but the moisture is far more needed here in the west, hopefully we are in line to see at the very least above average snowfall and precip here in Colorado, then maybe we won't have to constantly be plagued with fires.

Hello, everyone. Interesting thing to note. A +PDO is considered responsible for 2003 superstorm. It would aid us with snow. I hope Colorado and that area get good pcpn. I know that you really need it, Anonymous. The -NAO has encouraged blocking this month.........a little late for last winter
