Moderate Risk for Northern Plains Today

The northern plains, including Minnesota, is under a moderate risk for today.

The jet stream is expected to increase deep shearing, and adding to high instability to create the scenario of potential tornadoes. The low itself will also be deepening, which in turn should tighten the surface wind field and increase surface conductivity for tornadic thunderstorms.

The images are the overall risk, hail risk, and tornado risk.
Watch for updates on the Facebook page today.
