Afternoon Snowstorm Update

Amounts for Chicago have risen to 4-12 inches, with the GFS and NAM at opposite ends, respectively. The Chicago NWS Office is going for 4-8 inches, so we will have to see. Model update this afternoon.

Hi Andrew, Totally off the subject of snow in chicago. But have you seen anything about lake effect snow ohio is suppose to be receiving Friday day going into the weekend? Will it measure up to anything? Thanks Justin .

Looks like my neighbour's north of me in the snowbelt are going to get their share of heavy lake effect snow in portions of lake,geauga,and ashtabula counties in ohio.

Anonymous: There is potential for some accumulation following the storm as cold air comes into the country.
