...DUST STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MST THIS EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHOENIX HAS ISSUED A DUST STORM
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MST THIS EVENING.

* AFFECTED AREA...WESTERN MARICOPA COUNTY...INCLUDING
  WICKENBURG...TONOPAH AND GILA BEND. DUST AND POOR VISIBILITY WILL
  QUICKLY EXPAND WEST INTO REMOTE DESERT AREAS.

* TIMING...THROUGH 7 PM.

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST WINDS 30 MPH...GUSTING TO 50 MPH.

* VISIBILITY...WIDESPREAD VISIBILITY DOWN TO ONE QUARTER MILE IN
  BLOWING DUST...DOWN TO ZERO VISIBILITY IN SOME SPOTS.

* IMPACTS...VISIBILITIES WILL DROP RAPIDLY OVER VERY SHORT DISTANCES.
  USE CAUTION IF TRAVELING INTERSTATE 10 AND 8...STATE ROUTE 85...AND
  OTHER ROADWAYS IN THE AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE READY FOR A SUDDEN DROP IN VISIBILITY TO NEAR ZERO. IF YOU
ENCOUNTER BLOWING DUST OR BLOWING SAND ON THE ROADWAY OR SEE IT
APPROACHING...PULL OFF THE ROAD AS FAR AS POSSIBLE AND PUT YOUR
VEHICLE IN PARK. TURN THE LIGHTS ALL THE WAY OFF AND KEEP YOUR
FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL.

REMEMBER...PULL ASIDE...STAY ALIVE.
