Based solely on the video I estimate that was an EF-3 tornado. Scary video.

Hello ERN WX.Indeed scary.Looks like you and I are the only ones blogging on here. The others must have left.

Seems so, Mike. I wonder what the storm survey will indicate.

Right when it really becomes climatologically unfavorable for snow the NAO goes into its longest and strongest dip in months! It had to happen some time, everyone knew it.

16 tornadoes attm. sad.

There's always hope for next winter for the NAO to stay negative for awhile.I still cannot believe how this past winter was with so little snow and cold.In my region where i live, the warmth probably will most be remembered for this past winter.Usually we have several snowstorms in a winter. We didn't have any at all.In fact,no winter storm watches were issued.Thuthfully, this is the first time this has happened in my entire life.Truly amazing!!!!

Hello Aran.Long time no talk. Are your relatives alright? Hopefully they are.

Aran, hopefully your relatives are safe,ok and well. Hopefully everyone else is safe,ok and well who was hit or close to being hit with these severe thunderstorms. It sounds like there has been no deaths and I hope it stays that way, but if there is I hope their families are well and ok, safe as well if they were also hit with these terrible storms. Again I hope the death tally stays at zero, but if it does rise hopefully they knew Jesus and will be in good hands with him in paradise. I will be praying for the people who were hurt, injured, and hopefully not, but the ones who were killed and their families. Every one stay safe and take care.
LJ.

Hello Mike, they are alright. They could see the funnel cloud before the tornado touched down. After that they said you couldn't see the tornado do to rain and hail.

ERN WX said...

Glad to know your relatives are alright, Aran. Completely agreed with you LJ. Take care folks!!

Rain/hail wrapped tornadoes are scary. I have seen a few in my career.

Is there going to be changes in how commenting works, because lately i seen some really mean comments.

Aran: Glad to hear your relatives are safe.

Dave: This was a bump in the road. The comments section are not generally considered a 'good' place, but I work hard to make sure it is. This was something that seemed to have gotten out of hand right in front of me, with me included in the fault. I can assure you, however, that that sort of incident will not be happening again.
